Synopsis:

An exposé of the commercialization of breast cancer awareness and the iconic pink ribbon that has become a symbol of greed, not survival.

Review:

A little too simple perhaps, the concept gets itself across well and those who are familiar with the subject will understand. Others, however, might not.

Review:

Watching this trailer only solidifies my opinion that major relief and prevention efforts are too often co-opted by money-hungry corporations looking to exploit those who are suffering. This trailer does an excellent job setting up the premise and presenting evidence that should appeal to more than most documentaries would.

Oscar Prospects:

Is it too controversial for the Academy? Possibly. I don't know if Estée Lauder advertises on the Oscars, but you can bet anyone implicated in this doc would boycott if it were nominated. I'd like to see it get recognition if only to find out if people would avoid the Oscars because of it.
