POSTERS

Preview: Red Lights (2012)

Synopsis:

A pair of psychologists exploring and debunking various hucksters and frauds pretending to have supernatural powers, the younger doctor decides he wants to debunk one of the oldest practitioners the world knows even though he'd been investigated many years earlier.

  • Poster: C+

Review:

Must every film that deals with the subject of red use the color in its poster design. Honestly, I'm not that opposed to the concept but when such a color scheme is employed on an otherwise uninventive design, it seems cheap.

  • Trailer: B

Review:

The intro by Sigourney Weaver is poorly performed and suggests she didn't really want to participate, but the trailer itself presents a series of mysteries that give the audience an urgent desire to see where the film goes. Director Rodrigo Cortes being attached gives it more potential.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
