Tony Stark finds his life in colossal upheavel as his life and the lives of those around him are threatened by a dangerous force whose true capabilities are yet to be known.
A look at his many suits is a geek's dream and may be a find selling tool, though it isn't very energetic.
The darker tone of the film may revive the expectations of those who were disappointed (I'll include myself in that) by the second film. The excitement of the trailer will undoubtedly propel the film to a huge take at the box office.
After the promising first film, Iron Man 2 was a disappointing mess of a film. The third film looks like a significant step up with plenty of soul-searching and antagonism making it seem like a darker film than the unnecessarily light second feature. The cheesy closing scene erodes some of the good will of the first portion of the trailer, so we'll see if they've just picked out the most compelling scenes or if the earlier part is more indicative than the latter.
As with the others, the Sound Mixing, Sound Editing and Visual Effects fields will likely see an invasion, but other categories are likely out of the equation.
