Review: (#1) One of the first things I complain about in poster design is the use of white backgrounds. They add nothing to the design. However, there are some cases where it works. This is one such case. That’s because the lettering and content is so large, the white background allows the rest of the content to pop. The use of images isn’t perfect, but the conceptual execution of the large lettering works. (#2) This is a more conventional design and it takes an overused “city skyline” motif and doubles down on it. I guess you can’t have one as that would only be a singular “street.” That doesn’t make it more effective. Nor does the unsatisfying layout.

Review: If you want a generic action thriller, this trailer suggests you’ll get that. While some elements look modestly entertaining, the whole doesn’t fashion itself into anything special.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
