Synopsis:

From IMDb: “Re-Kill: It’s been 5 years since the outbreak that wiped out 85% of the world’s population, but the war between Re-Animates (Re-Ans) and Humans wages on. Most of the major cities are still uninhabitable. Within the few surviving cities, the Re-Ans have been segregated into “zones” and are policed by the R-Division of the QUASI S.W.A.T. Unit who hunt to re-kill the Re-Ans in the hope of quelling a second outbreak; Murder in the Dark: ‘When a group of young people camping in the ruins of a medieval Turkish town play a party game called ‘Murder in the Dark’, they soon discover that someone is taking the game too far…’ Produced in an experimental shooting style, this murder-mystery features a cast of actors who were not allowed to see the script. The actors’ choices interactively changed the shape of the story. They had to use clues to solve the mystery laid out before them by the filmmakers; The Wicked Within: After a year passes since the sudden death of a child, a family gathering takes place whilst peculiar unexplainable events occur. Tension over peculiar circumstances cracks the veneer of cordiality and dark secrets emerge. Bethany (Sienna Guillory) becomes increasingly unhinged and seems Hell bent on tearing her family apart. Is she possessed or simply playing devils advocate? With the help of a priest and a psychic the family attempts to restore peace and sanity. But events which occur that night could never have been foreseen. Police psychologist Dr Woods (Eric Roberts) tries to exact fact from fiction of what really took place in the house in this gothic horror morality tale; : As the staff of Good Friends Church Camp prepares for a spring break filled with “Fun Under the Son”, a demon logger rises from his sap boiler to wreak his vengeance and feast on flapjacks soaked in the blood of his victims; Suspension: A high school girl and her bullying peers are terrorized by an escaped psychotic killer who is more than meets the eye; Unnatural: Global climate change prompts a scientific corporation to genetically modify Alaskan polar bears with horrific and deadly results; Bastard: Five strangers – newlywed serial killers, a suicidal cop, and two runaways – become suspect and victim when a masked murderer makes its presence known in an isolated mountain town; Wind Walkers: With one of their own missing, a group of friends travel to the remote Florida everglades where they discover that an ancient, malevolent curse is tracking them.”

Review: Most films go for chills and scares with their poster designs. This one is more subtle, presenting a river of blood in the dead of winter. It’s not subtle, but it’s strongly visual.

Review: Having only brief snippets of films to get an idea of what they’re about isn’t helpful. Knowing that this is a film series doesn’t make that frustration better. Some of the stories could be interesting, others don’t look so great. That makes it difficult to sell the entire package at the same time.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
