Poster: C- / C / B (3)

Review: (#1 & #2) What the purpose of the first design is, I don’t know. The second is similar to the Paranormal Activity spoof that the “series” has been designed to mock. I could dismiss the first design fairly easily as silly twaddle, but the second is much more engaging, though still not very compulsory.

(#3-#6) While I recognize that the first and second posters did a touch of poking fun at other horror films, they just felt so humorlessly juvenile. These subsequent three are more interesting spoofs of horror film posters. The tire swing one is easily the best, but each have their perks.

Trailer: B-

Review: Some humor that’s reminiscent of what made the Scary Movie franchise such fun, but there are also some eye-rolling moments that only encourage the idea that the film is derivative and wasteful.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
