Review: (#1) This design seems strangely constructed. The picture frame doesn’t have a lot of symbolic relevance in the overall design and the background figure has no weight. (#2) Putting the film’s plaudits in the background is good for targeting some viewers, but the rest of the poster is hopelessly banal.

Trailer Rating: B

Review: It does look like there are some strong performances, especially from actors you don’t see given enough opportunity on the big screen, but the setting and story feel overdone.

Oscar Prospects:

Cynthia Nixon could be an Oscar contender, as could the film’s production design and costume design, but the April release date doesn’t bode well for long term memory of Oscar voters unless Music Box Films has suddenly figured out how to run an Oscar campaign.
