Review: (#1) Moms Gone Wild. That might be a more interesting film than the film this poster suggests.

(#2-#5) These four international designs, the first two likely being paired together in their venues, showcase just how insignificant poster designers feel they are. These are cheap, bland and ineffective designs. (#6-#8) These three character posters have a defining them, but the theme is identical. The cheap, clearly post-production background image is identical across all three characters, making them blend into the background. (#9-#11) The same is true for these three designs as the prior three with the lone distinction being a different background for each, none of which are that effective.

(#12) While crude isn’t a bad thing, it just doesn’t work well in a design that’s so plain and boring to begin with.

Trailer Rating: C+ / C+ / B- / C+

Review: (#1 & #2) Apart from a couple of scenes towards the end, these two trailers are carbon copies of one another with the red band working to insert as many swear words as the prior trailer left out. If you want your film to look like a decent R-rated company, don’t create a trailer that suggests that it would be just as funny if it were PG-13, which is what these two trailers end up suggesting. There are some funny moments, but it looks like a crass attempt to cash in with women audiences. Having the film directed by two men doesn’t give one much hope.

(#3 & #4) Again we have a red band trailer that’s a carbon copy of the green band version, and once again, we have a few naughty words and some more risque jokes infused, but none of which make the red band version better or more interesting.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
