Review: (#1) Posters are designed to entice audiences into the theater, but there’s nothing about this that would genuinely draw someone to the movies.

(#2) It’s a simple design, but it has a lot of symbolic relevance putting the boy between two parents, both of whom seem willing to ignore him.

Trailer Rating: C+ / B

Review: (#1) It’s an important narrative, but the trailer makes the film looks commonplace, rudimentary, and inconsequential. There’s still promise, but not nearly enough of it.

(#2) While the second trailer doesn’t give the most evocative view of the film it could, there’s something compelling about it. The closing title card, however, does add immeasurably to its impact.

Oscar Prospects:

It could be an Oscar contender, but the first trailer doesn’t exactly look promising.
