Review: (#1) The colors of the foreground image seem strangely appealing, though the overbearing red background does not. (#2) The use of reds is well done, but it still feels unnecessarily forced.

Trailer Rating: B / B- / B

Review: (#1) Another in a recent array of genre departures positions this movie as a sci-fi/horror hybrid that could very well appeal to a lot of different types of audiences. Situated on Memorial Day will certainly help the film’s bottom line, but it might be a bit too violent for the family holiday weekend.

(#2) Whereas the firs trailer does a smash-up job of setting up suspense and intrigue as well as genuine tension. This second trailer doesn’t seem as focused and instead tries to give audience far too much additional information that no one really needs to decide whether or not to see the film.

(#3) The horror elements are far more apparent here and there are some interesting set pieces that could help propel audiences to the theater.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
