Review: Is the painting Matisse or something? Sarcasm aside, this is a fascinating and brilliant evocation of the titular Paul Cezanne’s work and tells the viewer a great deal about the film’s general premise.

Review: The trailer does a fine job selling the story of painter Paul Cezanne and his longtime friendship with writer Emile Zola to those who have an interest in such period dramas. It won’t, however, appear to a broader demographic.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
