Synopsis:

From IMDb: “”Don Peyote” tells the story Warren Allman, an unemployed stoner who finally finds a purpose in life after an unpleasant encounter with a homeless man preaching the end is near. Fueled by vivid apocalyptic dreams, Warren becomes obsessed with 2012 doomsday theories and decides to make a documentary on the subject while his fiance is busy planning their wedding.”

Poster: B

Review: This is a modestly trippy design that could appeal to a segment of the population entertained by a series of pot jokes. That might be enough to make it a minor seller, but I have my doubts.

Trailer: C+

Review: Any film that plays with the minds of its viewers and tries to create some altered reality tends to fail at that task. Even the likes of Charlie Kaufman isn’t always successful at pulling off such feats. This doesn’t even look close to the quality of a Kaufman film.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
