Review: (#1) The tagline “Mrs. Gray Will See You Now” is an interesting play on the original film’s tagline, but it doesn’t carry any weight when it’s simply a wedding picture. Putting your leads on the poster is a viable strategy, but like with its predecessors, the deep black background just isn’t that interesting. (#2) A palatial wedding would be appropriate for the characters in this film and the dress is lovely, but nothing feels genuine or exciting about this.

(#3) Minorly sexy, this poster isn’t particularly engaging and most certainly not creative.

Trailer Rating: C+ / C+

Review: (#1) A signature song and suggestive imagery are a stable of this film trilogy, but that doesn’t make the new trailer that much more exciting than its predecessors. This series seems to be losing its creative steam.

(#2) There’s not a lot of different in this second trailer. It will likely continue to appeal to fans of the series, but there’s nothing here that makes it feel like it’s important, significant, or necessary.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
