Review: (#1) It’s a pseudo-stylistic design that works in moderation, but the overall feel of the poster is somewhat generic. (#2) Perhaps if you could tell that the aged face peering through the door is Patrick Stewart it might have made for a more sell-worthy design even if it’s wholly unexceptional.

(#3) The third poster suggests something demonic, but looking at the first trailer, it doesn’t seem to fit. (#4-#5) I don’t know if they’re trying to target this to fans of shows like The Walking Dead, but the drawn element gives it a uniqueness amidst the various horror-themed films that have released recently.

Trailer Rating: C / B-

Review: (#1) What is the purpose of highlighting Patrick Stewart’s presence without making a compelling case for your film in the process. There’s something awful bland about this first trailer. (#2) While it’s a definite improvement, the trapped-room horror concept is an old one and the trailer tries hard to overcome that, but the potential for clichรฉ just doesn’t give one much hope.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
