Review: (#1) Stark, textured colors make the design pop, but the image isn’t that compelling. (#2) A & J go boating? The trailer doesn’t give any indication as to the pertinence of this particular design, which won’t help get the film seen.

Trailer Rating: B-

Review: It looks like a fairly standard Pedro Almodovar film, but that isn’t enough to win it an audience, especially since the trailer doesn’t have a lot of gusto or compelling narrative hooks.

Oscar Prospects:

It’s Oscar chances were dashed when it failed to make the final shortlist for the Foreign Language Film award. It could still get nominated in the writing categories, but that is an extreme longshot option.
