Release Date:

March 18, 2015

Synopsis:

From IMDb: “A jaded Japanese woman discovers a hidden copy of Fargo (1996) on VHS, believing it to be a treasure map indicating the location of a large case of money.”

Poster: B+ / B+

Review: (#1 & #2) The two designs are alike in structure, unalike in form. Both feature a depiction of the title character, both feature recognizable depictions of a bunny, but they differ from there. Both may seem traditional and uncomplicated, but they are a visual dichotomy that works.

Trailer: C / C+

Review: (#1 & #2) These trailers, like the posters, paint two unique portraits of our protagonist. The first seems to suggest a wayward soul on a sort of pilgrimage. The second paints her as a woman escaping her life. Neither seems to invalidate the view point of the other, nor do either make the film look that interesting apart from that question of theme.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
