Review: (#1) The placid nature of the first design may not be able to sell the film as it needs to, but it certainly plays on the mind’s memory’s of childhoods at the lake, or at least the idealized depictions of such. (#2) This gives the viewer more insight into the film’s familial connection and it central star. That doesn’t tell you what the film’s about and this particular design is fairly overused.

Trailer: B

Review: There’s a rather spectacular cast involved here and while the premise seems a bit similar to Olivier Assayas’ Summer Hours, that doesn’t prevent it from being an entertaining indie gem. Having Patricia Clarkson involved certainly helps.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
