Synopsis:

From IMDb: “As her marriage dissolves, a Manhattan writer takes driving lessons from a Sikh instructor with marriage troubles of his own. In each other’s company they find the courage to get back on the road and the strength to take the wheel.”

Poster Rating: C- / D+

Review: (#1) A rudimentary symbolic reference to fun doesn’t make a lot of sense outside of the context of the film itself. While fans of Patricia Clarkson or Ben Kingsley might suddenly become intrigued, the number of fans that reaches is incredibly small. (#2) This poster, along with poster #1 give the impression that the film is a wistful, pandering romantic comedy without substance or depth.

Trailer Rating: C

Review: It’s unfortunate when we see our favorite actors slumming in a throw away comedy that mimics every other throw away comedy with a limited and overly simplified idea being forced into it. As much as I love Patricia Clarkson, she really needs to find better vehicles. The same goes for Kingsley.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
