Review: (#1) Even though this design is plainly manipulated after the fact in order to get all the characters into the frame, it’s still a fitting and visually solid effort. (#2) A little different for a period drama poster design, it is fitting, but unnecessarily spacious.

Trailer Rating: A-

Review: If you’re a fan of period dramas, this trailer will hit all the right buttons. It’s a fascinating and witty portrait of social norms being dismantled by a single woman. That Kate Beckinsale seems utterly unrecognizable adds weight to her performance.

Oscar Prospects:

It looks like a sumptuous period piece and the Academy does love them; however, the film may not be remembered by the time Oscar voters submit their nominations.
