Synopsis:

From IMDb: “A boy stands on a station platform as a train is about to leave. Should he go with his mother or stay with his father? An infinity of possibilities rise from this decision. As long as he doesn’t choose, anything is possible.”

Poster: C- / B-

Review: The first design might highlight the separation anxiety of the film’s protagonist, but it doesn’t even remotely discuss the futuristic, split narrative elements of the film.

Now this is how to make your film’s futuristic elements pop. However, it still doesn’t do an adequate job explaining the fractured life story of its protagonist, which leaves everyone unclear on why they should even see the film.

Trailer: C+

Review: You pick up somewhere in this melange of blandness that you have two or three stories going on simultaneously with a character who has been able to mentally segment his life into what it would have been had he made different decisions at each step of his life. However, that confusing element makes this seem like a poor-man’s Cloud Atlas.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
