Review: (#1) A double-pun that’s fascinating for fans of the first film, but forgettable for everyone else.

(#2) Does it relate to the original film? If you haven’t seen it, you won’t know. Anna Kendrick isn’t exactly a familiar commodity at the box office. Perhaps this was the first in aborted series of character posters? If the others were this boring, I’m glad they changed their minds. (#3) The puns are still terrible, but featuring all the stars will surely appeal to fans of the original and it also hearkens back to the first film’s posters, which is an adequate step.

(#4-#6) These three full-cast posters are of varying degrees of creativity. Unfortunately, none of them are creatively good. (#7-#14) These characters designs are unique enough to be interesting, but bland enough to be disinteresting.

Review: (#1) Excellent voices and plenty of images to conjure up the original, this trailer should do wonders for encouraging fans of the first film to rush right out to the box office in something that feels very Fast & Furious-like.

(#2) If you were to watch both trailers back-to-back, you might wonder why they seem to tell entirely different stories. One makes it sound like the team isn’t good enough and must prove themselves. The second dictates that the plot is that they’ve gotten suspended due to an embarrassing incident and makes the competition feel all the more energetic as a result.
