From IMDb: “The story of humankind’s last stand against a cataclysmic alien invasion. In the war-ravaged African countryside, a U.S. soldier and a French foreign aid worker team up to survive the alien onslaught. Their bond will be tested as they search for refuge across a crumbling world.”

Poster Rating: C- / D+ / C-

Review: (#1) Lots of fiery yellows and oranges. It makes the film look action heavy and the strange creatures in the back are quite alien, positioning this clearly as sci-fi. It’s such a dull design, though. (#2) The colors are bland, the action is cheap, and the posed actors seem disenchanted with their placement on the poster. The large “O” symbol doesn’t help make it stand out. (#3) Now our stars from the prior design are back to back with a bit more color than before, but a lot more blank space. It does not feel more exciting.

Trailer Rating: C

Review: A generic sci-fi action film with terrible performances and cheesy narrative structures. There’s little presented in this trailer to make it seem like a wise investment of time or energy.
