Review: (#1) There is depth to the design, and it features the lead actor prominently, but it doesn’t say the least bit about the film’s plot or purpose, which doesn’t give it much strength. (#2) This is a little more mysterious, but there’s no indication why he’s wearing a mask and whether it’s to prevent identification for vigilantism or working in harsh, lung-damaging conditions. It’s not a mystery that anyone will be that interested in unraveling.

Review: While I admire the boldness of placing an operatic score atop the trailer, in this case, it feels painfully like a gimmick to avoid identifying this as a foreign language film. It also significantly inhibits the audience’s ability to understand what’s going on and care about that.

Oscar Prospects:

It’s a likely nominee for Best Foreign Language Film this year and some believe it could even make a play for a Best Picture nomination or at least a screenwriting nod.
