Synopsis:

Review: (#1) As generic as this design is, it has merit in terms of its ability to sell to a mass audience. The content puts forth the concept with quick ease and simplicity.

(#2) To an extent, this is an amusing take on the spy game with the neophyte trying to wedge her way in between the experienced professionals. However, it’s an otherwise bland, lifeless design. (#3-#5) These character designs share the listless, unappealing qualities of its predecessor (and successors). (#6) Why we have only one character poster, clearly designed to evoke the concept of James Bond, I’m not quite sure, but it doesn’t work well.

(#7) Since one of the inspirations for this film is James Bond, this design seems far more appropriate within the concept, reminding us of Goldfinger quite effectively. (#8) A classless B-movie quality design that tries to be action-oriented, but fails. (#9) As bad as #8, but just a bit worse with its cheap red background.

Review: While her mild-mannered character is at odds with Melissa McCarthy’s typical array of characters, the trailer does showcase some scenes where she’s likely going to play it to the hilt. The premise isn’t terribly original, but there are enough funny moments in the trailer to suggest a sizable May hit.
