Review: I guess putting Jake Gyllenhaal no your poster is a way to sell the film, especially if he’s depicted as handicapped; however, the blank white background and unnecessarily bold and blocky tagline are both distracting and visually ugly.

Trailer Rating: B+

Review: There are a lot of conventional elements to the trailer and that’s just fine all things considered. I will admit that there were some moments where I got a bit misty, which means the design works fairly well.

Oscar Prospects:

This is one of those kinds of movies that are designed for Oscar contention, but the question is whether it’s quality enough. Jake Gyllenhaal is clearly on track for a nomination and Miranda Richardson could pick up her third nomination as his mother.
