Review: (#1) Riding that campaign bus off a cliff is a metaphorical embodiment of the theme of the film and that works well, though the bountiful blank space is not very appealing.

(#2) With a deer-in-the-headlights look, Hugh Jackman’s new poster won’t have any measurable impact on the viewer. (#3) A more severe look of shock accompanies this poster with a little more detail and more information; however, the white background is overbearing.

Trailer Rating: B-

Review: The trailer is a touch conventional, but it has enough details to explain the film’s premise and set it up as a compelling exploration of modern politics and the sensationalism that has infiltrated it.

Oscar Prospects:

Hugh Jackman might not be a frontrunner for the win, but he’s certainly in the hunt for a nomination, as is the entire film.
