Release Date:

July 10, 2015

Synopsis:

From IMDb: “20 years after a horrific accident during a small town school play, students at the school resurrect the failed show in a misguided attempt to honor the anniversary of the tragedy – but soon discover that some things are better left alone.”

Poster: D

Review: I know that the film uses the red filter with regularity, but it’s distracting and makes for poor poster design. Also, you have to look a little too closely to see the noose in the poster, which downplays the titular concept.

Trailer: C

Review: Your generic teens-in-peril horror film doesn’t get much of a makeover with this concept. They are still using the unnecessary found-footage style, but at least they are trying to create some real scare moments in a film that probably isn’t as scary as it purports itself to be.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
