Release Date:

September 25, 2015

Synopsis:

From IMDb: “A group of student activists travels to the Amazon to save the rain forest and soon discover that they are not alone, and that no good deed goes unpunished.”

Poster Rating: C+ / C- / B

Review: (#1) Peril is job one in selling a horror film and this does a perfunctory job. (#2) Selling your villain is job two, but does this really do the job? I don’t think so. (#3) The only reason this third design is successful is that it tries to be creative with its design and manipulates faces to fit within the confines of the skull, which is interesting and thus draws attention.

Trailer Rating: C+

Review: On the surface, the concept has potential, but the standard Eli Roth horror extravaganza takes the front seat to any real world political implications.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
