Review: (#1) There are two meanings behind this poster. Not only does it suggest a stiff climb against a powerful government, but it also symbolically represents women’s struggles in fighting against the patriarchy. Both are fascinating even if it isn’t the most exciting design.

(#2) Putting the audience right into the action in a scene that feels posed and inauthentic. (#3-#5) These character/combined character posters feature an uncommon, but still dull, flat background with characters that don’t quite match or fit.

Trailer Rating: A

Review: A slow boil political drama that reminds favorably of classic films like All the President’s Men. That it feels at once both historical and timely speaks to the power of the journalistic spirit and that kind of importance within a trailer like this makes it all the more compelling.

Oscar Prospects:

This is one of the last question marks of the year in terms of whether it will be a contender or not. The subject matter and the talent behind it are certain to make it a primary contender. It could receive multiple nominations in the high single digits and will definitely be in play for a few awards.
