Review: It’s a sweet, picturesque backdrop with strong color balance and visual flair. Were the central figures so obviously posed and inserted, it might have some added visual strength.

Review: It is difficult to sell a film of treacly intent without it feeling like it’s overly sweet. While there are some fine dramatic moments in the trailer, the setup is lengthy and the payoff isn’t quite appealing. However, Octavia Spencer adds a slight measure of energy and Sam Worthington looks like he might just deliver one of his better performances.
