Review: (#1) Robert De Niro plays the comic far too often and although the trailer doesn’t give him enough room to show off his talents, it does display the strong, notable cast that surrounds him. There’s just enough detail to instill in the viewer a certain curiosity, but there is room for improvement.

(#2) There’s a lot more drama in this second trailer. We get more detail about the story and also get an opportunity to see some of the other actors at work, which is far more compelling than the story itself.

Oscar Prospects:

It’s an HBO film and may not receive sufficient theatrical exploration to be a contender. Still, if the film can manage to make itself Oscar eligible, there may be some chatter for some acting nominations, including and especially Robert De Niro, and the film’s script, but not much else.
