Review: The colors of the poster seem to match the warm period colors of the film and the presence of the Ferris wheel helps explain the setting, but the halo lightning and the dull environment don’t support well.

Review: Reminiscent of the mob influence of Woody Allen’s best period film Bullets Over Broadway, this trailer evokes a sense of place and drama, but feels like its missing some manner of heart or rooting interest.
There is early word that Kate Winslet is a major player in the Best Actress race and, if that’s the case, other acting categories and Original Screenplay may also be in play. However, no one has seen the film yet, so it could still be a disappointment.
