Poster: B-

Review: Compared to a lot of posters out there, this is a strong design even if it is largely weaker than some of the best. The central placement of the tree, loosely referenced in the trailer, unifies the design with the film’s premise, though the surrounding actors are too forcefully staged.

Trailer: C+

Review: Apart from not realizing that Stephen Dorff was half-Jewish, painting the distinctly American actor as an Israeli is a stretch in terms of casting. I’m sure the film could have benefited more from hiring an actual Israeli star. The premise isn’t entirely without interest, but the trailer is poorly constructed and lacks a sense of dramatic tension.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
