Last Week's Results

Not one but two disappointing openings occurred this weekend as the Tom Cruise-headlined musical adaptation Rock of Ages took in a paltry $14.4 million while Adam Sandler proves he's not the box office draw he once was with a measly $13.5 opening. This left the top two spots unchanged from last week with Madagascar spending its final week at number one and Prometheus holding over poorly, but strongly enough to surpass the week's two new releases.
