Although the second film in the series made a little more than half the predecessor’s opening weekend, it was still a sizable amount. This third film should do quite well as well, possibly less than the prior, but probably still enough to win the weekend. The 15:17 to Paris is Clint Eastwood’s latest and he’s known to draw audiences to the theater, so it’s possible that it could give Fifty Shades Freer a run for its money.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): Non-professional actors in a real-life action drama don’t sound like a thrilling concept.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): It looks like the background story takes up more screen time than the events on the train – probably one of Clint’s weaker efforts, which would explain why plans to rush it into an awards-friendly December release were dropped.
Tripp Burton (TB): This should be riveting, but there is something about the trailer that doesn’t look appealing at all.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): This could be interesting. Hopefully the original heroes can actually act, or it might not work that well.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): I haven’t seen a single one of these films and I don’t plan on starting now.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): The final entry in the much maligned trilogy looks like it will be as big a critical flop as the previous entries.
Tripp Burton (TB): I’ve avoided this series so far and have no intention of changing that.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): I barely made it through the first film, and I really donโ€™t care how the series is going to end.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): The trailer was amusing and, for a children’s film, it could be fun; however, I don’t expect it to be great.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Should appeal to very young children and perhaps Beatrix Potter fans of all ages.
Tripp Burton (TB): This looks dreadful!
Thomas LaTourette (TL): This looks painfully bad.
