Looking at the Weekend: Jan. 10-12, 2013

There isn’t much out during the early days of January, but a rousing sword-and-sandal-type action drama should do decently well at the box office, even if it is the only new wide release.

Wesley Lovell: I’m not interested in seeing the version of Hercules starring The Rock. Why would I want to see this lame attempt at the same story?
Peter J. Patrick: It’s that time of year when your best bet is catching up on year-end releases you may have missed instead of lackluster new releases.
Tripp Burton: Catch up on the great films you haven’t seen yet from last year, and don’t waste your time with either of these unless you are a big fan of these genres.
