Looking at the Weekend: Jan. 30-Feb. 1, 2015

Could American Sniper win the box office for a third consecutive weekend? With Black or White having the highest profile of the three new releases, my guess is yes.

Wesley Lovell: Another week of so-so releases to ignore and wait for on DVD.
Peter J. Patrick: Some strong January releases this week including the Oscar nominated Timbuktu and the Oscar rejected but potentially audience pleasing Black or White.
Tripp Burton: Why must January movies all look so bad?
Thomas LaTourrette: Except for the Oscar nominated Timbuktu, it is a pretty weak set of movies. Perhaps it is another weekend to work on catching up with the Oscar nominees.
