This weekend, a battle between strippers and Arnold Schwarzeneggar promises to be an interesting affair. Will this be a victory for male-targeted films or female-targeted films. It’s an excellent question, but early word suggests Terminator: Geneisys might be the better film, which will encourage more repeat business, which could ultimately boost its weekend total.

Individual Commentaries

Wesley Lovell: I’ll give the new Terminator film a try, but my overall interest this week is meager.
Peter J. Patrick: I could be wrong but I don’t see any of this week’s new releases as a threat to the box office domination of Jurassic World.
Tripp Burton: Another weekend of uninspiring sequels…welcome to summer!
Thomas LaTourrette: None of the films sounds that exciting, with Terminator sounding the least exciting. The original Magic Mike was a little slow moving, so it is hard to get fully caught up in the hype of this one, but maybe it will be an improvement.
