For Greater Glory: It may not be everyone’s cuppa, but it could be worth checking out if critics get behind it.
Snow White and the Huntsman: You don’t have to be a fan of Snow White to want to check the film out, but it might help for those who aren’t interested in secondary-revisionist fairy tales.
A Cat in Paris: Oscar nominees aren’t always recommended, but this one has plenty of support.

Thoughts The trailer just doesn’t look like my kind of film.	Thoughts Directorial debut of special effects wizard Dean Wright might ordinarily be something that goes straight to DVD, but the Mexican government’s 1920s systematic murder of Catholic priests and young children has so many parallels in what is going on today in Syria that its importance can’t be minimalized.	Thoughts This one is flying really low under the radar, and will miss the Academy’s radar completely.

Directorial debut of special effects wizard Dean Wright might ordinarily be something that goes straight to DVD, but the Mexican government’s 1920s systematic murder of Catholic priests and young children has so many parallels in what is going on today in Syria that its importance can’t be minimalized.

This one is flying really low under the radar, and will miss the Academy’s radar completely.
