Snow White and the Huntsman will be a success in spite of Kristen Stewart. It should have no problem topping the box office by a wide margin.

Consensus

Below is a list of what we have come to a general consensus on. The number in parens represents the percentage of our contributors who agree with the statement.

For Greater Glory: It may not be everyone’s cuppa, but it could be worth checking out if critics get behind it.
Snow White and the Huntsman: You don’t have to be a fan of Snow White to want to check the film out, but it might help for those who aren’t interested in secondary-revisionist fairy tales.
A Cat in Paris: Oscar nominees aren’t always recommended, but this one has plenty of support.

Thoughts

The trailer just doesn’t look like my kind of film.

Thoughts

Directorial debut of special effects wizard Dean Wright might ordinarily be something that goes straight to DVD, but the Mexican government’s 1920s systematic murder of Catholic priests and young children has so many parallels in what is going on today in Syria that its importance can’t be minimalized.

Thoughts

This one is flying really low under the radar, and will miss the Academy’s radar completely.

Thoughts

In spite of Kristen Stewart, I’m very interested in seeing this film. We’ll see which of the year’s Snow White films is better.

Thoughts

I’m in no hurry to see Snow White without the Seven Dwarfs, thank you very much.

Thoughts

This fairy tale reimagining could pick up some technical nods if the vision is well-done enough.

Thoughts

I really don’t like the animation style, which will probably keep me away from it.

Thoughts

This Oscar nominated Animated Feature in a newly dubbed version voiced by Marica Gay Harden, Anjelica Huston, Matthew Modine and Steve Baum should be a wide release.

Thoughts

This already picked up an Oscar nod for Best Animated Feature, so check it out.
