Can Pixar’s latest top the second weekend of the massively popular Jurassic World. Normally, I would say yes, but this will end up as the ultimate test of girl vs. boy drawing power. Not saying either title is mutually exclusive, but one is clearly targeted at young men while the other is targeted at young girls based on character genders and premise outlines. I’m going to give the edge to Jurassic World because Pixar has had a few weak entries lately, which might decrease its clout in such a tough box office clime.

Individual Commentaries

Wesley Lovell: Inside Out is one of my most anticipated films of the year, so clearly it’s my primary pick. I’d then go with either Eden, Infinitely Polar Bear or The Overnight were I to hop out to the indie cinema this week too.
Peter J. Patrick: It seems to be a good week for comedy. Let’s hope it is!
Tripp Burton: There aren’t too many interesting films this week, but there is a new Pixar film, so that is cause for celebration!
Thomas LaTourrette: Actually all four releases sound interesting. I am most looking forward to the animated Inside Out, but for the first time in a long time, I want to see them all.
