Although the reviews aren’t great, The Boss Baby is likely to be the week’s top newcomer, though Beauty and the Beast will still top the charts.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): This looks disappointingly unfunny, especially from a studio like DreamWorks.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Might be fun for kids and hopefully not too tiresome for their elders.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): It seems a perfect fit for Alec Baldwin, though the early reviews of this animated film find it lacking. Pity as it could have been fun.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): I’m not a fan of the original anime, so I don’t have a lot of interest in seeing this.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Looks like one comic book adaptation too many.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): The trailer does not do a great job of interesting me in this Scarlett Johansson thriller so I will wait for reviews to see if there is enough to interest me in seeing this.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): It could be interesting, but the trailer isn’t sufficient.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Chinese murder mystery might be worth checking out.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): The trailer makes it look a bit like Pi with chase scenes, so I am not certain what the film will be like. The use of different sized images in the trailer did add visual interest.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): It seems like these kinds of films come out at least once a week.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): South Korean thriller looks like it might be fun.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): Interesting concept, but it looks like it will be more violent than believable.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): This could be better than expected and Jessica Chastain is always noteworthy, but the story sounds a tad formulaic.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Decent looking Holocaust drama.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): At the urging of his wife, the zookeeper hides Jewish refugees in the zoo. It should be gripping, but it sounds like the movie does not live up to the story.
