Now that the Toronto International Film Festival is over, the Oscar race is in full swing. Many of the year’s highest profile releases have finally seen the light of day and now we’ll be able to begin forming stronger predictions. While we still caution that predictions this early aren’t very accurate, please feel free to share and enjoy our thoughts.

Everyone is starting to come on board with Silver Linings Playbook, a film which yours truly had put at the forefront of the race back in May. Its Toronto Audience Award will be all the help Harvey Weinstein will need to flog the film into the Oscar landscape. Helen Hunt, Toni Collette and Amour also gained significant ground in this month’s update while Hyde Park on Hudson took a nose dive.
