The nominations have been announced. Rumors that the SAG nominations committee didn’t get to see Selma in time are proven true with the film completely shut out. The last-minute push for Jennifer Aniston paid off, but her nomination will very likely be replaced at the Oscars. The big surprises here are Naomi Watts’ out-of-nowhere nomination for St. Vincent (another feat unlikely to duplicate at the Oscars), no Guardians of the Galaxy in the Stunt Cast category, no ensemble nomination for Into the Woods (which may have screened too late and Streep got nominated for just being in a movie), and Get On Up nominated for Stunt Cast when it doesn’t seem like the kind of film that would have many stunts in it.
