There you have the year’s Screen Actors Guild winners. Denzel Washington finally earns his SAG award, briefly upending the streak Casey Affleck had been making towards Oscar glory. Hidden Figures takes the prize for Best Cast against stiff competition from fellow Oscar Best Picture nominees. Emma Stone repped future Oscar-winning Best Picture La La Land and helped her chances at the Oscars dramatically. These will surely produce some small manner of confusion, but apart from Stone shifting back into frontrunner position, our prior inclinations of who the Oscar voters will support continues.
