A list that excludes Interstellar is ok by me, though including The Imitation Game, which is journeyman work at best, seems like a slap in the face to so many other great cinematographers this year, including those for Ida and Nightcrawler who got quite a bit of attention this year. Don’t read too much into Selma missing this list since the guilds didn’t get screeners, but Interstellar‘s absence continues to show the film has limited support.
