Precursor: 71st Directors Guild Nominations (2018)

While it’s great to see Spike Lee nominated, the exclusion of the likes of Barry Jenkins and Yorgos Lanthimos is everely disappointing. Also disappointing is that Ari Aster wasn’t nominated for Best First Feature.

  1. Well, Bradley Cooper is winning………..First Feature. I think the race here comes down to Farrelly & Lee. It would be nice to see Lee win.

I think Lanthimos will sneak in the fifth Oscar nomination slot over McKay, since support for Vice seems to be waining.
