Rating: C+
Commentary: I don’t like lists, but this design manages to use them effectively. The background is a boon, being something beautiful to look at, paired with a simple, yet elegantly designed title and it works. It could use with less text and more imagery, though.
Rating: B+
Commentary: It looks a great deal like Darren Aronofsky’s similarly-themed The Fountain, but something about the broadness of the presented tale makes it seems more deep. This could be exactly what Aronofsky had hoped achieve with his misfire. It looks strongly visual and may also represent a return by the Wachowski Siblings. Hopefully, it blends the inventive visual style of the Wachowskis with the thematic strength of co-director Tom Tykwer.

Oscar Chances: While I don’t know if it can crack top tier categories, look for it to place prominently in the races for Original Score, Editing, Cinematography, Production Design, Costume Design, Makeup, Sound Mixing, Sound Editing and Visual Effects. And with that many craft categories in their favor, Best Picture could also be a possibility.
