Rating: B Commentary: The first poster for this film was released yesterday and I have a feeling there will be more than just these two. I give this one a slightly higher rating because although it’s part of a series and the comments I made yesterday still apply, you just can’t beat Helen Mirren with a weapon that big. She may well be the ONLY reason to see this film. |

Rating: C+ Commentary: It almost looks like an unfinished art piece from the film itself. The painting style employed in much of the poster (notably on the dragon itself) is much different than the cell-shading style used in the trailer. The inconsistency doesn’t help my mind in appreciating it more, though it’s a handsome poster, but will audiences be able to tell the difference and will it change how they perceive wanting to see the film? |
