It’s a vast Friday update (well, vast is a pretty verbose word for it) with four new trailers and five new posters. The new trailers are for Drive Angry 3D, The Last Play at Shea, 2012: Time for Change and Undertow. The new posters are for Harry Potter (#21) and Black Swan (#2-#5).

2012: TIME FOR CHANGE

	Plot Summary: A documentary cataloguing various thoughts on how to move the world forward in a cultural, social and economic revolution beginning in 2012. Release Date: June 4, 2010

	Rating: B Commentary: The trailer says it all by saying this is a documentary that has an optimistic approach to the “end of the world” prophecies being discussed regularly by doomsayers. It doesn’t look like it gives all the answers, but it appears to be well researched and as if it will provide several wonderful suggestions.	Rating: C+ Commentary: While I’m not a fan of the “hippy” style of poster design, it does somewhat evoke the sense of enlightenment that that countercultural movement often sought. And that’s something that may appeal to more than just a handful of people.
	Trailer Link: Apple Trailers Oscar Chances: We have a very full boat for this year’s Oscars, so I’m not expecting something so optimistic to beat out the more devastating issues that will face Oscar voters.

UNDERTOW

	Plot Summary: A married fisherman must reconcile his intense emotions towards his gay lover in a small Peruvian fishing community where such things are not looked highly upon. Release Date: November 26, 2010

	Rating: B- Commentary: The trailer does a great job not over-doing the gay romance aspect of the film, preferring to present things subtly. The trailer is well constructed, which should draw a number of positive responses.	Rating: C- Commentary: A great trailer comes with a pathetic poster. a beach couch makes little to no sense and the hand holding is the opposite of the subtly evoked in the trailer.
	Trailer Link: Apple Trailers Oscar Chances: Peru has submitted this film as its Foreign Language Film contender, which means it’s in the race, but so are 65 other films. And, of course, this one hasn’t gotten the best of reviews, so it may not fare well at the Oscars.

THE LAST PLAY AT SHEA

	Plot Summary: A documentary chronicling the history and demise of the legendary Mets and music venue Shea Stadium. Release Date: October 21, 2010

	Rating: C Commentary: If you’re a fan of Shea, then this will appeal to you. If you aren’t, then it probably won’t. And I don’t see much in this trailer to break the film out of that very tiny niche.	Rating: None Commentary: None available.

DRIVE ANGRY 3D

	Plot Summary: A man goes vigilante to get back his daughter’s baby from the men who took the baby and killed the daughter. Release Date: February 11, 2011

	Rating: D+ Commentary: Terrible acting, generic effects, silly premise and all the comic book-lame action sequences you can imagine, it is clear that Nicolas Cage has lost his way and that this movie is going to be abysmal.	Rating: None Commentary: None available.

BLACK SWAN, posters #2, #3, #4 & #5

	Plot Summary: Struggling to become Prima Ballerina in the New York City Ballet Company, Nina must move beyond the role of White Swan in Swan Lake and learn how to embrace her Black Swan without being consumed by it. Release Date: December 1, 2010

	Previous Preview: Black Swan	Rating: A (4) Commentary: These gorgeous art deco posters are so simple and yet so elegant and capture a stylistic reference that seems at one with the film yet stands out on its own. I don’t even mind that the three colors used are black, white and red. The posters just sing.

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, poster #21

	Plot Summary: The first half of the final film in the acclaimed series takes Harry Potter and his friends Ron and Hermione and puts them square into the battle against Voldemart and his resurfaced army as they attempt to bring their new dominion to the world and kill Potter in the process. 	Previous Preview: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I	Rating: C+ Commentary: Even a house elf needs his own poster. Though, after being ignored for most of the series since his introduction, it seems strange to see him earning his own poster.
