On Sundays, we list the weekend’s upcoming films along with previews of trailers and posters. On Wednesdays, we preview all of the upcoming new wide and limited releases hitting the theaters the coming weekend. On Fridays, we’ll now tell you what you should see. We pose two questions each week to our contributors and their responses are posted below.

Wesley Lovell

1. Which of the four new wide releases would you choose to recommend above the others?
I’m not really too keen on any of this week’s entries, though The Vow would probably be best worth my time.
2. Are there any limited release features this week that you would recommend (and why)?
See In Darkness, the only limited release film this week that could also be an Oscar winner.

1. Which of the four new wide releases would you choose to recommend above the others?
If I absolutely had to go out to see something it would be Safe House but nothing this week really interests me to the extent that I would go out to see it.
2. Are there any limited release features this week that you would recommend (and why)?
In Darkness appears to be a small scale Schindler’s List that is probably the only the real competiton for A Separation for this year’s Best Foreign Film Oscar.

Tripp Burton

1. Which of the four new wide releases would you choose to recommend above the others?
They all look horrible to me, but if one of these genres is your thing, check it out!
2. Are there any limited release features this week that you would recommend (and why)?
Both of the Oscar nominees could be well worth seeing.
